In first half of 2019, revenues of Adidas increased by 4 per cent on a currency-neutral basis, which is in line with 3-4 per cent guidance provided by the company at beginning of the year. In euro terms, revenues grew 5 per cent to €11.392 bn in H1 2019 as compared to €10.809 bn in H1 2018. Gross margin was up 1.8 percentage points to 53.5 per cent from a brand perspective; currency-neutral revenues for brand Adidas grew 5 per cent, while Reebok revenues declined 2 per cent. Net income from continuing operations grew 14 per cent to €1.093 bn (2018: €960 mn), resulting in a 17 per cent increase in basic earnings per share from continuing operations to €5.50 (2018: €4.71).
