Pakistan has released Rs 65.4 mn for the statistics and textile industry divisions under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP 2018-19), according to the latest data released by the Ministry of planning, development and reforms. For the textile industry division’s Faisalabad Garment City Training Centre project, Rs 12.6 mn was released.
The government has so far released Rs 365.99 bn for several ongoing and new schemes of different divisions against the total allocation of Rs 675 bn under PSDP 2018-19, according to some reports. The Planning Commission of Pakistan releases 20 per cent of development funds during the first quarter, i.e., July-September. In the second quarter, another 20 per cent is released. The third and fourth quarters each see release of 30 per cent of the funds.
