Pakistan has invited enterprises of the Nigerian textile industry to participate in the second edition of its international textile exhibition in Lahore in April, according to Tahir Abbas, Commercial Secretary at the Pakistan mission in Nigeria. The invitation is part of boosting economic ties with the African nation, he said in a statement.
The Pakistani textile industry is open to joint ventures with the Nigerians, Nigerian media reports quoted him as saying. Nigerian companies engaged in imports, distribution, marketing and manufacturing of textile products or excelling in any stage of textile value chain are expected to attend, he added. The first edition of the exhibition TEXPO, held in 2016, was attended by businessmen from 52 countries.
