The 2018 New GOLLER DYEPADDER ECONOMICA Nip-in- Trough with Double Impregnation Mechanism provides even dyeing for knitted fabric without crease mark and distortion incurred. The newly-designed double impregnation mechanism provides further improvement on the impregnation effectiveness in combination of a lower running tension. Hiper Shrink Astra – MONFONGS STRAHM

In addition to the stenter frame range, MONFORTS FONG’S recently has introduced a new high-efficiency relaxation dryer which technology inherited from a Swiss textile machine company. This new dryer is named “Monfongs Strahm,” with model name “Hiper Shrink Astra,” for open-width and tubular knitted fabrics.

Its unique Swiss mechanical design focuses at high drying efficiency, low residual shrinkage, soft hand-feel and low operating costs. Its design also incorporates a heat recovery system (EnRec 1&2) that reduces energy consumption tremendously by half when it is compared with some conventional dryers.

Automatic D4S toe linking device for increased efficiency the Asian knitting industry is constantly growing in importance. Biancalani’s new tensionless dryer for knit fabric

From one ITMA to another through four years of improvements, tests and updates, this is the story of Biancalani’s new BRIO 24 line, a tensionless dryer able to give dimensional stability to knitted fabric, both tubular and open. Now the time is ripe for this machine, which represents the evolution of a previous single tank version that was drying the knit fabric in discontinuous and that is working now for many years.

The current configuration of BRIO 24 foresees the passage of the material between the consecutive double-tank modules for the continuous treatment of the natural or blended knit fabric, mixed with viscose or other synthetic and artificial fibres. The article enters from one side of the machine and leaves the other side dry, soft and dense. The process consists the passage of knitted fabric through the tanks subjected to an intense high frequency vibration, inside which the knit dries, shrinks, obtains the maximum possible contraction for each type of texture and composition.

Automation and quality assurance from Erhardt+Leimer

Erhardt+Leimer presented several products from its broad portfolio for automation and quality assurance in the textile industry. One of them was the digital segmented roller guider system ELSMART SWS 97, allowing most efficient web guiding in enclosed machines in which extreme requirements placed on the system at temperatures of up to 100 °C along with steam and chemicals. Perforated high grade steel guiding profiles were developed for extremely damp and, in the majority of cases, very slippery web surfaces, providing sufficient friction for precise web guiding even in these difficult conditions, and even at high web speeds of up to 100 mtr/min (for standard applications); under special conditions a speed of up to 150 m/min is possible. A frequencycontrolled additional drive can be mounted to overcome friction forces and to guarantee minimal web tension. The SWS97 can be combined with the motor-driven spreading system ELSPREADER LGA 052, which is essential for reliable operation with knitted or loose-fed webs.

Automatic recognition of the front and back side of textiles

The ELSIDE camera system detects the structure of the material even at high production speeds and irrespective of the material distortion; in this way it is able to differentiate between the front and back side. ELSIDE is suitable for use in all textile manufacturing processes in which incorrectly sewn sections can have a negative influence on the downstream process. Before starting production, only a short teaching procedure is required during which the matrix CCD camera captures the structure of the textile web. Afterwards, an alarm signal is issued in the event of incorrectly sewn sections.

Cutting technology, proven a thousand times

BTSR launches latest yarn feeding technology

Visitors saw BTSR’s latest yarn feeding solution for hosiery and knitwear production.Based on BTSR’s proprietary Full Digital Core & Motor technology, the Ultrafeeder was first unveiled at ITMA Munich in 2007 and was designed to meet the demanding ‘constant tension’ yarn feeding requirements on a wide range of machines including sock/stocking, seamless, large diameter circular and flat knitting machines.

Using the latest digital technology, featuring a dual control on yarn feeding and yarn running speed, the Ultrafeeder offered high performance acceleration/deceleration dynamics, a high resolution measurement capability (0.1 mm) of the fed yarn and the ability to regulate energy consumption. This high performance yarn tension management system became an industry standard, considerably improving production efficiency, providing extra-cost savings (yarn consumption) and improving the product quality of companies operating throughout the knitting and hosiery supply chain.

Now, the Ultrafeeder2 has been developed by BTSR to provide its customers with an even more advanced yarn feeding solution.Ultrafeeder2 offers a new ergonomic design and is made from more advanced materials, most notably aluminum, magnesium and carbon fibre to which has optimized space around the wheel to make it easier for yarn threading and also increased the robustness and lightness of the device.

It also includes a new processor which improves the input yarn tension feeding control and offers an improved performance during the feeding of yarns with high absorption discontinuity. Overall, the new processer has increased the response time of the Ultrafeeder2 by ten times and has higher acceleration dynamics control.

Further benefits of the latest version include a new display position on top of the wheel which simplifies the process for the operator, a new high resolution load cell sensor for improved accuracy, and both clockwise and anticlockwise rotation so the yarn can be fed from either side. The Ultrafeeder2 also encompasses a new, BTSR-patented Quality Index system which means that feeding/process yarn quality issues or other anomalies can be monitored in real time.


LGL showcases yarn feeding technology

LGL Electronics, the Italian manufacturer of electronic yarn feeders, showcased a complete range of advanced and sustainable yarn feeding solutions at ITMA Asia + CITME. The range included the Spin 1, Ecopower, Ecompact and the Mini-series as well as the latest model made by LGL Hangzhou, the Mini CB (CAN BUS) which is suitable for all types of knitting machines.The Mini weighs 2.4kg and runs at speeds up to 950m/min (up to 650m/min with Mini+) and can be used for knitting yarns in counts of 5 to 600 denier.

It can also be installed in any desired position, whether vertical or horizontal, while the reserve yarn on the spool is monitored electronically. Z and/ or S rotation can be selected as needed with the yarn output controlled by LGL’s TWM (Tension Modulator) brake system, which is self cleaning and easily adjustable to keep tension constant. The Spin1tension controlling device is a ceramic, electronically controlled, ceramic tension sensor for a range of bare and elastomeric yarns that has been designed to react quickly to speed changes without producing tension peaks. It has maximum torque available over a large speed range (in particular at low speeds) and particular attention is paid to power consumption.

Visitors also were able to see the Ecompact a yarn feeder that offers smaller dimensions and reduced weight compared to previous models, something which LGL says is important on machines with a high number of feeders.

At 1.4kg, the Ecompact is nearly 1kg lighter than other options such as the Knitter while at 700m/min, is also almost twice as fast compared to the latter’s 360m/min. The unit has a spool diameter of 50mm and can knit yarns in counts of 5 to 600 denier. Ecompact also has a yarn consumption function which offers real time electronic measuring to all feeds (up to 256 max.) at the same time. Z and/ or S rotation can be selected as needed. It can also be installed in any desired position, whether vertical, inclined or horizontal.

DGI launches two new industrial sublimation printers

DGI has been successfully entered the market with their FT series from 2014 with Panasonic and Kyocera printhead in industrial level textile printers. This year on SGIA Expo 2018, DGI is aiming in upper segment of 10 ft soft signage printer and industrial sublimation textile printers.

One of the new models which was launched at the show is FH- 3204. FH stands for Fabrijet Hybrid, which means that the printer can print both special fabrics and sublimation paper in one machine. FH-3204 is dedicated printer for Soft Signage production for 10ft printing. DGI doubled the printing speed from previous model FT-3204X which successfully launched last year for Soft Signage market around the world. Main difference of the FH-3204 is that the printer uses industrial Kyocera printhead (FT-3204X is using Panasonic printhead) which upgrades production level and give more durability. FH-3204 can be reached up to 1,615 ft²/h on both soft signage fabrics and sublimation paper. 6 individual ink channels can be used including florescent colours and light colours. Also equipped with new dancer bar media tensioning system to prevent head strikes. The other new model is HS FT III, HS FT is DGI’s industrial line up of sublimation printer. New HS FT III’s key difference is that staggering arrangement of 4 Kyocera printhead. By staggering the printhead, printing speed can be reached up to 2,690 ft²/h in 5.4ft printing width. New heavy-duty take-up system can load jumbo roll sublimation paper up to 2,000 lb in diameter of 400 inches which is about 8,700 ~ 11,000 yds roll.
